From *my* experience if a 5 L domain name doesn't make sense it is pretty much useless. However, I could be wrong on this one.

Good luck!

That is good to know. I think that I did overlook that as I looked and considered the domain!

The letters looked good to me, like they flowed or belonged together. Ofcourse I am not the end user, so it doesn't really matter if I like it or not;) I need an end user to like it!

Have you heard of "takl?" They are working the heck out of branding it! It sounds like tackle. It is on the radio and billboards in Atlanta. When I saw wrynt I saw a word that sounds like rent. Making an acronym out of the letters could be a challenge. I have no doubts I could come up with something!

Whether you like or dislike wrynt, I hope it sounds like rent!!

I cant see any value in this, it looks like 5 random letters together, not brandable or pronounceable

Think of names that you can say like Troddy, Sliddy, Blobbo, Trakko, Frisso, Boldo, Talco, Pendi....these are better when looking at 5L.com

I can say when I saw "wrynt" nothing made me think "rent" when I tried to sound it out or say something. I was trying to say something more like "wren". Didn't even cross my mind till I saw your post saying it.

Your words do look much stronger than my wrynt.com. Thank you for the feedback. I do think wrynt is pronounceable and brandable though. Somethings are much easier to brand than others. So I am not suggesting wrynt is as strong as pendi. Heck I may never get an sniff of an offer. LOL, and Im not trying to convince you to like it! I guess I just see a little upside. At any rate, I do value your feedback, so thanks again!

Let me ask you this . . .

If we had hundreds or thousands of dollars we could buy LLLL domains or solid one words!

I would bet that takl would have gotten some love bc it is LLLL. But then it would have been shredded to pieces. The fact some company is branding it puts it in the hindsight category. My point is with that, I bought XKLEN.COM, and the trademark is dead, and the company appears to have merged into a different company. So at one time, it was being branded like TAKL, though perhaps not as aggressively. Now NP domainers would say thumbs down to XKLEN! Now they would say thumbs up to TAKL. In 5 years if TAKL doesn't take, they will say thumbs down. By any chance do you play poker? If I gave you a million dollars and gave you pocket aces before the flop, turn, river came and said you can go all in preflop, would you? I would 100/100 times. Ill take my chances preflop. The results, well I can't control the cards to come. My point is . . . i saw wrynt and saw rent. No one else may see it upon looking at it. If an end user sees it then it will be up to them to brand it!

You didn't see rent. Now that I said it, you can see it. Im not asking you to buy it:) But if you see rent now, surely it goes from worthless/reg to ???

Putting WRY next to each other just ruins a name most of the time, its not easy to say this in english and Im sure that will be the general opinion with most appraisals you get

I did not see "Rent" either and even now that you have explained, I still cannot see this it. If this was say Rhent or Rentt, at least it looks and sounds like Rent...can you see the difference?

The biggest thing with brandables is you should not have to explain how you pronounce it or what its mean t to be, thats what makes a good brandable name.

The thing with brandables is they are a tough sell and you often have to wait years to sell them because you have to get lucky and get a startup that just happens to want that brandable name, so to increase your chances of selling it, try and get the important brandable points on your side, this will just increase you chances of selling it. An example is Ajaar.com, I hand-regged this in 2008, Im really not sure why but I liked the name and dont know why I kept renewing it, but I was patient and it just sold for $2.5k after 9 long years. I would have spell it Ajar if I heard it, but would probably get it right at 2nd attempt.

Yes, you might sell that name, but the chances are a lot lower than if you had Floppo.com or something easier to spell and pronounce.

Check to see if it passes the "radio" test, this is often a good guide. If you heard this name on the radio, would you spell it correctly in the first couple of attempts? I know I wouldnt. If you have to spell it to someone, its not a good sign.

Hope this helps a bit :xf.smile:

and of course again. If someone else see's it, then they may see value in it as well and if the right person see's it then even better. I am new to this as well. You mentioned "I hope it sounds like rent!! I was just letting you know.....someone out there heard and saw a different sound when they saw it.

Absolutely this helps. Thank you! Well I didn't pay much for it, so it won't take much to get into the black! Thankfully I haven't been buying many of these at all, and my hand reg has slowed way down!

I did buy a couple of LLLL, and it is funny, I don't want to mention those bc its a lot easier to hear, dude stop wasting 6 for every hand reg, versus dude you paid how much for that? You overpaid by XX.

The joys of domaining

I do see random LLLL domains that make no sense selling for profits. But when you hit the 5 character mark it's another story. Not the same as 4

Wrynt is a rare family name. You can check it on some family heritage site. Therefor it has some value to the right person, especially if this person decides to start a business.
You should try outbound!

wrent might sound like rent, not wrynt... wrynt can sound like rint...

4Ls are different, they are valuable as acronyms regardless and if they also sound like word that is fantastic...

5Ls would really need to shine out to be considered the same way.

Some of my 4L.coms that make sense as a word: Tuth (tooth), Ayro (aero), Djil (Jill), Jouz (Juice or Jews), Puqs (Pucks), Qold (Cold or Qold), Kuar (QR), Fvrs (Favors), Lvrg (Leverage), Ligz (Leagues), Regz (Regs), Toks (Talks) etc.

TAKL works because it sounds out exactly like the actual word TACKLE. Any 4L that sounds exactly like the real word is a spot on domain.

Would be ideal if they started a property rental company!! Thank you for the feedback as well!!

The only portion I want to clarify is where you mentioned wrynt sounding like rint. I do agree. To the ear, rint, wrynt, rent, and wrent all SOUND the same. That may not help my case in this situation, selling it, but the sound is the same.

I totally agree with your LLLL assessment.

Thank you for your feedback!! I appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback!!

You are welcome ) I mean again with your sale skills you could probably move it too... But improve your odds at sale % and sale price by choosing the ones that need less explanation...

If you set up expireddomains.net filters properly, you can choose better names...
