Hi Everyone,

I own www.OGL2012.com and was wondering how much would you appraise it for.
http://www.olympic-games-london2012.com (not mine) was sold for $45,000 on www.Flippa.com a couple days ago.

Both Domain Names has $0 value on http://www.valuate.com/. I would like your opinion on your appraisal and how much should I sell my domain for.

It's hard to believe someone would pay 45k for that name for 2 reasons.

1. It's way too long
2. The Olympics are extremely sensitive about their brand. They even put up an "Infringement Calculator"

If you put Olympic content on your site you're asking for trouble, but it's really a nice name. It's too bad.

If your name can side step trademarks if could have a a nominal value to a person bloging about that years games.

Thanks for your response, I know I could not believe someone would buy that long name either. I do not plan on building a website. I just want to sell the domain. Do you think it is worth anything?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say thats a shill bid @ 45k. You don't get rich being dumb and that would be a huge mistake.

I like the domain Shelyn, but it's just too hot to develop (Which kills it's value). You may be able to flip it for mid to high xx to someone that doesn't know any better, but I'd not encourage that sort of behavior.
