it takes time and patience. Are you in it for the money or for fun? Are you planning to make this your fulltime job or just a hobby? There are a lot of things to consider. If you've spent 2 years in the domain industry you're still pretty new. Some of us have been around since the early-mid 90's. Some catch a big fish, some will never see a sale reaching 4 digits.

I remember a thread here at NP where people divided the amount of hours they spent looking for great domains compared to the total $$$ they'd sold their domains for. Some had a wage of $5/hr or less. I don't think I have to add anything else to that :)

It's all about patience, putting up a strategy plan and sticking to it. You have to decide what kind of strategy you want to run for your domains. If you're investing and buying in the short run, you'll never see a big sale. Time and effort brings the $ in most cases. You have to develop the domain names, increase traffic, maybe create websites and communities to get more visitors that way. You can add advertisement, get affils to increase the traffic even more. To get some pocket change add some PPC banners or whatever. It all depends on how much effort and time you put into it. The .com millionairs of 2005 started investing many years ago and rolled the dice exactly at the right time. It's not a fiction, it's a matter of keeping your eyes open, a little bit of luck and patience.

Good luck :)
