Oversee.tv

A "sales inquiry" was recieved. Please help me appraise the value of Oversee.tv

-all other major extensions gone
-oversee.net just bought Moniker for "around $65 Million"

Thanks for your professional consideration.

My "issue" with .tv domains is making sure the keyword fits the extension. What kind of development could you see combining the word Oversee and .tv? I think in addition to development potential, you also have a large domain based company, who if they really wanted the domain name would have registered it some time ago. To be honest - I dont see any resale value in this domain name.

Anyone who cannot connect a word that contains 'see' in it with .TV is a person who has serious logic "issues", at best. It is difficult for me to imagine someone so close minded. You can't be that dumb so I can only conclude that you bare extreme hate for the .TV domain extension; so much so as to blind you... so you cannot see.

As far as "What kind of development"... this is what I wrote & posted on NP when I bought the domain:

"Oversee.TV
-- oversee home / biz / enviro locations & personnel... from babysitters to worksites to ...."

http://www.namepros.com/331870-your-best-hand-reg-of-day-22.html

My intent was/is to build an Oversee TV network, using home & business webcams, and cctv systems... using online eyeballs to oversee the images. The anti .tv bias expressed on this and other domain forums is so irrational it saddens and sickens me. Some folks love to be haters.

On your other (not very well thought-out) point, namely:
"if they really wanted the domain name would have registered it some time ago".

Oversee.NET must not value .com either. If your in the Namespace business I think it makes good business sense to own your namespace. That is your brand!! Its hard for me to respect a domain investment company that has not covered its own ass. Of course, most everybody respects Big Money... but the mere fact that I could reg Oversee.tv, just 7 months ago, shows that they are lacking in the CYA strategy department.

I assure you, I own several .tv domain names and have no "hate" for this extension (unlike .mobi). However, in life and business you'll find people who have different opinions and professional appraisals about many things. To be outwardly so rude when one responds in an unfavorable way is downright ridiculous. If you do not want to hear an opinion, don't ask for one.

My opinion that the domain lacks any resale value still stands to my reasoning and I think your concept is still better suited on a .com.

Thanks for your opinion. I expressed mine. My intent is not to be rude. You apparently don't get how OverSEE relates to TV. That is what is "downright ridiculous" , IHMO. Not my response.

How would you respond to someone who publically post a "professional appraisal" that essentially says the word see has no relation to tv so therefore there is no resale value in your domain name... ??

Opinion has to be based on some form of logic. To then say that Oversee relates better to .com than .TV... well, lets be clear. A word that contains SEE in it relates better to TV than any other domain extension. To suggest otherwise, and then devalue the domain Because its associated with .TV is your right, but its not right. And do not expect me to be polite to you, or anyone, who would 'openly' devalue my investment & business concept based on such irrational thinking. And I say that with all due respect.

With all the open mind that I can muster, I dont 'see' this as having much value, if anything above reg fee (as is undeveloped).
And, yes, you are ridiculously rude. That, I can see.

While "oversee" is a dictionary word - Posting the oversee.net transaction in the same thread points toward squatting IMO and really is a negative Appraisal or Selling point.

And yes ... Rude.

If you only want to hear favorable opinions - You're in the wrong industry. Keep it civil in the future.
