Newyork.city could be a hack, although it is a name in itself too, as the city is often called just New York.

Awful name. Sure there might be someone that comes along with a brand called "nuyork" but if they do they're going to do it on the .com. Hopefully no one does because "nuyork" is so corny it hurts.
