.nu Registration: 2 years minimum?

When registering .nu domains, is there a two year minimum registration time? I don't have the money right now to register one for two years, and want to register it for one year =/

.NU's are too expensive. Why pay $30/yr for a .nu when .us's are $5/yr and maintain a better resale value.

I personally think that .us names don't have much of a value either because most people wouldn't think to try a .us of a website
