I’m new here and found that its little complicated to sell domain name here in auction.
I get few low value bids on premium domain name ClothingStop.com and final sold for $50 BIN which is low as i personally believe.

Other live premium domain auction SmsPackage.com Also not getting more bids as expected.
Can you suggest me what i have to improve?

Hi,
With a little experience, what I believe is that NP forum auctions are more of B2B sort of a transactions and not B2C type.
Almost all domains bought here are meant for reselling and not for building a website.
The multiple "x" figure mostly comes from B2C transactions where buyer needs something specific to move on.
Reseller considers a profit margin when the domain is sold again and thus the cost paid here is an investment and nothing else.
Other marketplace auctions may fetch you more but the conditions apply as-
1. Chances of domain getting sold are more here compare to marketplace auctions. You decide you need more profit with low selling chances or low profit with high selling chances.
2. Consider the auction fee that you may pay for marketplace. Thus a domain sold here for $50 actually saving you some 10-20 % commission and listing fee.

I may be wrong, I am a beginner too.
Good luck.

Happy new year.

Hello and welcome to nps! Take time to read and learn from this site...take notes along the way to keep up with varying opinions. If you are selling here, you must be prepared for wholesale offers...to get retail, you must use one of the many marketplaces or develop your own landers.

Welcome to NamePros!

In case you have not seen it, last week's NamePros Blog post is on how to optimize performance of your NamePros auctions, and will hopefully provide some ideas to help.
Optimizing Your NamePros Auctions

I would summarize the most important points as...
  1. choose your auction title carefully
  2. use the free auction listing and judicious bumping to keep your auction on page one
  3. make sure the auction link is in your signature, and on social media if you use it
  4. make sure the presentation is solid
  5. adjust the BIN as the auction proceeds, especially near the end
Remember that prices here are wholesale, since the buyer is taking the risk that the name may never resell, or resell for a loss. Generally speaking you can expect to sell at prices similar to what you would buy the same name at.

Best wishes for domain success.

Bob
