On occasion, I find myself wanting to "announce" a recent name registration, (or not so recent, as in the case of a name that was regged early on in an emerging market), sometimes with and sometimes w/o a discussion. At present, there is only a back door or sideways approach at doing this- most notably through an appraisal request, a discussion or development thread, ie "What do you think I should do w/ this?", or by "name dropping".
Anyone else find themselves in this predicament, from time to time? If so, there might be room for a "New (or Recent) Name Registrations Showcase" board or sticky.
As I thought about it further, it also occured to me that an opt in option might be made available to open a poll, where members would be able to rank the name/s on a point system, ie 1-5, 1-10. This would enable the owner to give his name a public debut, receive some feedback on it, (very helpful for those of us who wonder if we are getting delusional w/ a category or style, hehe), and might cut down on some of the appraisal requests that are, from a resellers POV, "reg fee +/-".
