New Layout

I have just designed a layout for a website i am going to be creating called "subliminal designs", i wanted the layout to be simplistic and not very graphical, just wanmt to know your opinions on it so far... i cut out some of the water making so you can see what its like without the water marking. all comments and suggestions are welcomed...

looks ok... just a few things: the text looks out of place, and is the wrong color really, and all the little squares make it look reall busy. I like the feel of it though, and the brown/baige is a really nice color to use.

nooo the squares are part of the watermark lol, you see the squares which arent coverd in the little squares, thats what it really looks like

could you post the origional, without the squares watermark, with a different watermark. Text usually does the job. Are you using photoshop? What you want to do is write the name of your company in big bold text, and then copy and paste it so that it fills the whole image. Set the layer to "overlay" and the opacity to about 25% or lower. This way you can see the image pretty much uninterupted, but you can still see the text on top...

here is an image I did where I used this technique: http://poordoggie.co.uk/allthewebmasters.gif (in fact, I entered a competition on this site with that picture!). This way you can see the picture. The squares look like they are part of the image, and it makes it look worse! Don't show that to your client! :lol:

there ya go, i changed the watermark so its more clear to you all.. i'm not sure about the content box, doesnt fit in too well
