domain New Guy. Help Me Learn! - springfieldauction .com

Hello! I am a noob who has started domaining as a hobby. I flipped my first domain for a $9 profit this week and I am now hooked! My work is in small business development and I see a lot of potential to learn from the domain market.

Namepros advises reading up on the forum for a while before diving in to purchases. I am in this process currently but as a hands-on learner I took a shot in the dark with some hand regs and cheap purchases.

Here is my current portfolio. Help me learn from my collection. I am not sensitive to constructive criticism. Thanks everyone!

Not really an appraisal but just a way to look at it.

Ok, they are all 2 real word .com domains. Good

Next - have to think about who is the end user looking for that type of name, what type of business would it fit, and/or do you have an established base that you know what they want. Let’s look at that.

Springfield auction - nice geo. But you will be looking at a limited audience. Although there are probably many cities called Springfield in the US and Worldwide. It’s not NYC or London anywhere I know. But you will find a market IMO and make a buck or 2 possibly.

Now not that I don’t think the others are catchy, I just can’t think of who I would target to sell them to. But that’s me and the audience I work with, so take that with a grain of salt.

My non- renewals this coming year will show I am speaking from “experience” and have learned some very valuable lessons over this last year - thanks to the NamesPro community.

I would have bought all of them 1 year ago, before I really took in what the long time domainers here told me from day 1.
