Hi, pls visite getsmarter.org before u read this thread, I want build a website like its feeling, but in different language and contents...

I want know the idea from you...is there any existing cms fit this kind of site? or I have to build it from zero?

I am ok build it from zero, but can u suggest any technical I have to seek in marketing for this kind of site? and does it require special webhost? can PHP support it? or it just need basic HTML?

appriciate ur comments as I am totally new in site building....I may finally contact its current design company, but before I contact them, I want know more...

U would need to know php and have a good logic with designing websites... like layout wise... also there is no sorta of CMS for this kind of thing... u would have to do it all from Scratch i think

people told me start learn ASP.net, said it is some easy tools to develop website....consider I used to be a programmer, I beleive I can familiar with a IDE quick, (I alway can not learn PHP well, as it is not easy for me to creat a web page , there is no easy way for me to draw a table in the php using coding.., I always want have a drag-draw type IDE can use, my IQ is only that level...)

I like Powerbuilder, VB type of tools, but can someone told me, does that measn once I konw ASP.net, I will be a good web builder???

This almost seems like flash to be honest. I have never seen a CMS do anything like this. This would most definately be from scratch. Not only that, it would take extensive knowledge, as stated, to pull something like this off. Chances are you would need a small team that has specialized members to build a CMS like this.

Actually, this site works without any CMS, as I think. It's managed by human personally. More than that. There is no need to use CMS on that tiny-contented site. You just may to learn Flash and some PHP. IMHO that's all. But! If you want to build a flash-based something-big (like a forum or something), you must have a big and experienced crew. At least - programmer (php/mysql or any similar), flash designer and coder (for actionscript), artist (for original design and gfx), and good one hosting provider (each flash with good gfx & good mzx is about 800kb-1Mb multiply this value to 1000 visitors - it's a Gb of traffic now + google and other bots).
