hey everyone,

i had to switch hosts, so i downloaded a MySQL backup of my IPB 1.3 forum and all the files, i uploaded the mysql backup and everything went ok, but the file backup didnt work, so i thought thats ok, all i really need is the database and then just install a new board and set it up with the other mysql database.

Well anyways, I thought it worked out, all the categories and stuf where there untill i looked at the statistics at the bottom, it said i had one member and one post, so then i started to worry, i clicked on a category and it said there were no topics in it, and then i clicked on a members name and it said it wasnt a registered user. How can i restore this information?

Is your new host using an older version of MySQL then the last host?

open the sql or the gzip file with winrar and see if there is any content , besides the categories.

if not: your screwed
if yes: check mysql version/ or contact your host.
