Need help finding a free forum

need a free source for a forum - has to be supported by linux - which is what my host's servers are....?
i have a brilliant idea for a forum, have a great domain name for it, but need the forum free.
i'm a computer idiot in terms of this sort of thing (but i'm learning ) so I hope what I babbled up aboive makes some sort of sense to sopmebody. unlike my spelling. cheers,

p.s. i would be willing to say that there will probably be a namepros bucks reward to whomever can supply me with what i'm looking for.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean. If you are looking for free forum software, you might want to check out www.invisionboard.com.

They offer a free lifetime 'trial'. Its the full version, just without the official support, which you get if you pay the one time fee of $150, or $50/year.

Invision is, IMO, the best forum software around.

They are currently developing their newest release which should be pretty amazing. Check out their Official Forum ( http://forums.invisionpower.com/ ) and browse around, check out their features.

As for the Admin of Invision Board, its 2nd to none. Theres practically no limit to what you can do!

Its very easy to install - anybody can do it. I can give you a hand if you needed to - I used to own a forum with hundreds of members and 10's of thousands of posts, so I am pretty familiar with managing a forum.
