Haven't had any positive or negative responses. At least you now know that your e-mail got read.

So far, all my replies have been quite civil.

I got one nasty reply for asking whether a particular undeveloped domain was for sale. The reply was something along the lines of "No, it isn't for sale. And if it was, you couldn't afford it." With that attitude, she'll be holding on to her name until Armageddon.

It's rare, but I have gotten a nasty reply back before and I am VERY selective about who I contact. The one that sticks out to me is when I contacted the owner of a .net to see if they had any interest in the .com version of their domain that I owned.

Also I've gotten a couple nasty letters just for owning names that I listed for sale. Some people just have a negative opinion of domain speculators. It's tough sometimes, but try not to take it personally.

i wouldnt take it to heart THESTOKIE or anyone else for that matter, there are just ticked off that you own a domain they want and they know its going to cost them . there are just ticked because they didnt grab either the .net or .com , and you control the other one or any other name that relates to their domain name . they know they messed up and you jumped on it , and now its going to cost them . and that upsets them
IMO
good luck with finding a buyer :$:

I stopped contacting people. I found it a waste of time.

You contact them - They also want WAY more then its worth or
most people wont even respond.

Once I contacted a gentleman for the exactly perfect product name with '.com', which he was dealing in. He replied 'Why the hell should I buy that crap while I'm already doing well without it' ?? I didn't reply that email.....

Well,

I did not get any nasty replies yet, but get kind of really disappointed when I do not get any reply.
Makes me wonder though ( sometimes ), why people who got different tldยดs of a certain domain name do not seem to be interested in another one ( and I am not talking about .cc or anything like that )
Another one once contacted me regarding the sale of one of my yahoo listed domains and clearly stated he wanted to buy.
Checking background information I found out it was the former owner of that domain.
He never got back to me, even though the price was more than fair and I told him it was negotiable.

Instead he registered another tld and has hardly any traffic on it ( well, iยดve got the yahoo listed .com...)

tough sh...

I like to think that we have it easy. Imagine how bad it is for telemarketers! They have to put up with my very imaginative rants.
