I would appreciate some thoughts on this.
I am considering selling onyoursite.com and timeandweather.com
They are related sites that offer free services for webmasters to put on their own sites.
For example, timeandweather.com has a time & weather display for different countries that a webmaster can put on their own site for free.
Onyoursite.com has a joke ticker, quote ticker, a world clock and currency exchange calculator that webmasters can put on their site.
I haven't sold advertising on these displays, just promoted my own sites.
Onyoursite.com and timeandweather.com get about 4000 hits a piece to their homepages each month.
The timeandweather display shows about a million times a month on other webmasters pages. Jokes and quotes tickers together display about half a million views. The world clock and currency exchange calculator about 90,000/month.
These counts are rough, as the stats are inconsistant in some places, and the site has been neglected while I focused on other stuff. It needs some work. Data for the site (weather reports) cost $100/month. Since I've only advertised my own sites on the displays it is not making money by itself. A new owner could sell ads and/or make some of the services subscription based.
Sooo.... how would I go about pricing something like this?
What would you'll think this is worth?
How would be the best way to offer it for sale?
