Hey guys.

I'm not sure if this is the correct section for this. I've noticed that when you search for my site: domaintrade[dot]us, there are several "spoof" sites in Google.

transformationalfitness.com
changeyourmindandbody.com
dulciesinn.com

I already disavowed these through Google (it's only been two days) but I'm wondering how this could happen. I've notified the people under the whois contact info but I don't know if they will do anything about it.

What are my options here? This can't be good for my google ranking.

Wow! Those sites do not even bother to remove your domain name!
Did not try the contacts, but still showing your domain!
Probably need to start contacting hosting companies, isps, etc.

I contacted godaddy and they just keep sending me the canned response about how "they aren't responsible for their user's content." You think calling them might help?

I have sent the people an email threatening legal action if the content is not removed. Oddly enough, it looks like these used to be real sites and the whois info seems to point to people that don't SEEM like they would do this. One address points to what seems to be a legitimate business helping people build websites. I'm hoping this will work in my favor.

People who buy expired domains with page rank and domain authority often keep the old info in the whois. My guess is either they want to do some damage, OR they just want some plausible content to put up for a while then they'll start dropping other links in there.

Did they copy the back-end code too? That shouldn't happen unless there are security issues at your host...

Disavow won't do any good in this case. All disavow does is keep bad backlinks from hurting you (supposedly.) Does nothing for someone duplicating your content.

The IP's of at least 2 of them seem to be owned by Sonic.net. You could try filing a complaint with them.

It never occurred to me to locate the ips. Ready for a crazy plot twist?

I work there.

This is creepy stuff. Luckily I have a bit more power to take care of things (hopefully).
