after looking at all the domains for appraisal and what members said ...i'm very interested in the logic that says some of those names have value but this one has none;

i thought short was good

i thought descriptive was good

i thought memorable was good

i thought strong ecommerce categories were good

and i also thought emerging trends were good

man was i wrong with this one ... fits all of the above and mp4s are already in use and will soon replace mp3s but alas ...

i must of missed something ...

You asked for an appraisal and we are just giving our opinions. Your bound to hit a bad name every once in a while. If you cant take it then don't even bother asking for appraisals. Theres no point in trying to convince us its a good name or cry about it. Just take it like a man. We are not saying your domain is garbage, we are just saying if you tied to throw us a sales pitch that would be our answer. If we were to tell you that your domain was worth big money then it would be just to make you feel good.

why not take the high road and just explain your thinking

The name is not one a find of any value. Although it is short it does not flow and is very difficult for people to remember.

I would go for something like yourmp4.com.

1. you have a number in the middle of the domain.
2. I can't see the branding potential.
3. Sounds like a military site (MP (military police) for us)
4. Hard to remember
5. hard on the eyes so brain won't register and associate...

nobody really knows until the site is developed or sold or dropped

this type of name is o.k by me as for the $7 / year i can afford to hold and see how things pan out

i rarely want to actually sell but as an experiment i'll list it and check back when mp3s are taken over by mp4s

You are absolutely right samename, certain domains need to be developed in order to have any value, and with so many domains with out any-type of development ... Your appraisal was based on your query:
