Moving to Canada

We're planning on moving to Canada from the USA. Has anyone done it? How hard is it? What kind of requirements are there? I've been searching the internet and finding sites with very hard requirements, but I'm also chatting with some Canadians and they're saying that it's not nearly that hard, although they don't know the exact requirements.

I'd be doing the same but I am already here.

If you can play Hockey or Curl you are good to go. Otherwise you will need to
apply as a skilled worker. Canada is always in need of more:

Zamboni Operators
Ice Sculpterers
Beer Brewers
Fishing Guides.
Poutine Chefs

Actually though it shouldn't be too difficult if you have a clean legal record.
If you can find an employer willing to hire you or someone in your family there is a shortage of employees in many fields and a lot of people are arriving via the sponsorship route.

Well, I looked at the site mis_chiff posted. It's one of the sites I've been looking through, but the people I was talking to said it's not really as tough as that. Right now we're putting our focus on BC, by the way.

I am a fan of hockey, is that good enough? :P
I suppose I could learn to be a zamboni operator, that would be really cool.

Well, I imagine I can find some sort of work there. I'm good at a few things. That seems as though it'll be the most likely route (soon to be pronounced "root"). :D

I was talking to someone that actually did that, he said it has to be extreme circumstances.
