Russians unlike English people and Americans do not have townhomes. Townhome in russian would mean something in a village, or a in small city. But word townhouse or a cottage for russians meen a house in a semiclosed or closed area - usually guarded day and night next to a forest and a lake - for people with money.

Yes, well I did register MoscowTownhouse.com and MoscowTownhouses.com. I was surprised that those domains were available because as you say Russians do have Townhouses either for rental or as a second home.
