Old video, but it's very very true.

If you want the simple, internet-browsing computer experience and you aren't a total "dipshit", try Linux. Free, lots of software and whats more, you can get versions for Mac Computers too if you're fed up with that! :)

What gets me about Macs is that lots of students buy them to look cool, but all they use them for is to go on YouTube and read their bloody emails!!! What a waste of money...

Get a cheap IBM or Dell and get a Linux distro. Cheap and effective for the YouTube / Email experience.

I got a mac and my job of trying to get rid of viruses and downloading extra packages for every single thing I want to run (linux) is over. I'm actually pretty happy, even though it cost me a lot more.

My mac has been pretty trouble free for 5 years. My sister's pc (bought at the same time) is a completely different story.

I've been tempted to buy a Mac before, but I'm still a Vista and Ubuntu guy. When XP was refusing to run, I ran Ubuntu, and although I'm not much of a Linux guy, I figured it out. Since I've gotten Vista, that's all that I ran, not that I particularly like it.

I really do not like Steve Jobs, nor the snobbery of Apple.

I have an 7-8 yr old g4 tower...still runs like a champ...I have an ibook 6yrs old...still runs terrific..and a 2 yr old powerbook...never had a problem really with any of them.

Mac OS X has completely eliminated any of the old problems I used to have in OS9 and the computers still are used for some graphics work, video editing, surfing, etc.

I am a firm believer that mac makes good products. Never had to go in for repairs or issues in over 7-8 years...I find that quite impressive.

Well...thats my 2ยข.
