This should never happen. As per auction rules, all auctions must include a clear end date and time (ex: 11-19-07 at 10pm EST, or "24 hours after a final bid is placed")

...and once the initial bid is placed... this must be strictly followed until the end. You should never end an auction "when you feel the right price has been reached" - this is something other than an auction.
