Not sure if it gets any traffic or not? And Im not sure if Im going to develop it or not either lol. For now Ill probably just set it up on Sedo and see what happens with it from there.

And no need to apologize for it being worth reg fee, I mean you didnt make me register it lol. That was my decision.

But a couple things that I thought might weigh a bit on the value is that the .com, .net, .org, .biz, .us, .ws, .de, .at, .co.uk, .me.uk, and .org.cn are all taken, plus "lap desk" has an overture result of around 10,500. So that there did weigh a bit on my decision to get it. But Im not sure how much those would make a difference though.

But anyway, thanks for your appraisal!

Just some of my thoughts on the extra info you posted

I think a lot of people fall into the overture trap, especially with what you say about the other TLD's registered. It has quite a few searches ... So where are they more likely to end up ? My guess is the .com as you have said that is registered.

Let's have a look at the ones you mention :

lapdesk.com
Not a great site, but they are a business ... Could market it to them, however be careful of trademark problems ( not looked them up just a thought ).

lapdesk.net
Parked, not being used ... They might have a hosting package for it but are not doing anything with it.

lapdesk.org
Does not reolve.

lapdesk.biz
As above

lapdesk.org
Just parked,no real content

lapdesk.de
does not resolve

lapdesk.co.uk
Parked

So apart from the .com none of them are really used. This could mean that the owners of these registered them thinking they were good buys from the overture stats

Don't get me wrong I think it is a reasonable name, but unless you are lucky it is not really going to fetch much without some decent quality traffic.

By all means try it on Sedo for a while, but if it does not do well develop a simple site to get it registered in search engines / directories.

Ok, from what you say, it seems that my best bet would be to develop it. But as I said, Ill probably try it on Sedo first, if nothing really happens there, Ill try to develop it. Thanks a lot for your opinions! I appreciate it!

Ok, can y'all please appraise urd.co.in?

And before anyone appraises, I think I should make it clear that an urd is a plant of some sort that grows in India (and a lot of Asia too if I remember right), so it does have a little to do with the .in extension. Yet again, not sure if that would make any difference (I personally think it does), but I figured Id say that first.
