I was just wondering what everyone uses to research keywords and phrases????

I initially used the overture tool to research keywords, but found that it wasnt that accurate, so I swiched to the digitl point tool which provides mixed results from overture and wordtracker.

Wordtracker, Keyworddiscovery and Google Adwords keyword tool.

Keyword Elite is a good tool as well for indepth analysis.. I also use Keyword Harvester to make quick keyword lists as needed.

I think Keyword Discovery is the best tool I came across for key phrase research, Wortracker and Google Adwords are also good.

I'm an "old hat".....so I like to look at the client's competitor sites and see what they are targeting as BUYER key phrases - but that is just for commerce sites. It is nice to use automated search key phrase software for fun, but real analysis comes from actually getting into the other sites to compare / contrast approaches in key phrases and buyer usage (by analyzing the actual server stats / key phrase usage).

I do that often myself.... I often go to many of the top sites and take a few words from here and there and then run em through software and see how they do...

I use both of these tools and the overture bid tool.
I also occasionally pay for one day of access to Wordtracker.
