Is this site slow?

Hi, I'm Koji a graphic designer from Japan. Let me hear some question here.
I had opened my new portfolio website last week, and asked my friends whether my site kept them waiting so long or not at loading time.
They told me. My site was so comfortable to see. But one of my friends living in a foreign country said, it took too much time to wait loading...
I do think, it depends on the user's bandwidth.
So I want to research more from other foreign country people.
Please tell me, are you OK to see my site comfortable?
And let me hear how do you feel to see Japanese graphic design?
I think some logotype made by Chinese character is interesting for you..

you are right. time is depending on bandwith. I try to open your site its take a time. Ican't see your site. it's not open correctly. some error.

I am in Sydney, Australia and I use cable connection here, your site seems to load slow to me. It would probably due to the extensive Flash you use but I didn't receive any errors.

Your site goes slowly in my browser, with no error. I am from Singapore use cable connection. Btw, the graphics icons is too small for me.

It's really slow, plus I got 2 errors in the center of the screen! I tried it from home (10mbit), the office (100mbit) and then tried from one of my servers (OC48) and it was slow no matter where I called it!


Your server is on DigiRock Inc. network, they are on secondary pipe DS3, which is overloaded. I tried some tests and found that your on shared 100mbit connection, that is shared with over 60 other servers, many of them are classified as high risk, meaning they use a lot of bandwidth because of the content they distribute (warez, pirated software). If I were you I would try to find a new host (ISP) because your response times will never improve with your current host!

I'm on cable in the UK and it took a good 15 seconds to load.

Impressed with it when it did load though - very creative and different... nice! :tu:

I noticed some weak point in the beginning of this site. I've changed about loading a little.
I was able to solve only a fatal problem maybe... Please check again my site, and let me hear you, thanks!
By the way, my site is not comfortable for everyone still. I've known this weak point since I started to make this site.
Which is important for me? One is "a little heavy site but really new challenge", another is "light, simple but similar to other sites". What I wanted to try is former. However, to be more comfortable for more people is never worse. I want to get my site growing as more comfortable as possible for more visitors.

My testing from a client site here in Canada:

Our connection:

- Cablemodem (about 5-6Mbps sustained to high bandwidth mirrored sites)
- Windows XP SP2
- FireFox 1.x
- Ran the test off a Dell PowerEdge 1650 server w 1GB ram and dual 100BT NICs
- Test run at 21h50 Eastern Daylight Time

Our results:

- DNS resolved quickly...
- Your first flash intro - 4-5 seconds to render the flash - too long.
- The secondary page... very intriguing, but not intuitive... saw dozens of icons in a flash interface, and had no idea where to go.

Overall, the speed is (from North America) mediocre, if you expect to retain eyeballs (visitors) for repeat visits.

A skip intro (for the 1st Flash) is essential - I couldn't see it.

Intriguiging site design tho'!
