Maybe I'm delusional at this point but I think a few of my names I've registered have good branding potential with relevant ai companies/tech companies. Would reaching out to branding agencies be bad? Or is this even a reasonable approach?

I just purchased a pair of ice skates. Should I contact a few NHL teams to see if they want to offer me a spot on their team?

Hi Beginner,
I like brand name more than dictionary words, but working with branding agencies is a little explore topic in Domaining and among investors because Brand Domain Name are almost never a Premium Domain.
Said that, I think the problem for a domainer to work with brand agencies is like to build a roof before a foundation.
Creating a brand is a complex work that agencies make starting with deep market analysis, knowing potential customers, design, etc. At the end, they search the Domain name.
If you try selling your DN without all the work at the base maybe you will fail, imo. But you could try with Naming agengies.

Take a look at this website, perhaps it will help you.

Great points but I dont think that should be a reason you dont attempt an outreach email because that presupposes you have nothing to offer. And maybe you dont. But you also dont know what they have or have not. Equally as likely that they happen to be in a place where they might see value in a set of names you're offering. Worst case you recieve no response. Move on.

If you have good domains, a qualified domain broker is a much better option.

However, brokers, branding agencies, and anyone else is not an expert on selling subpar domains.

So, hopefully the domains you would be offering are high quality.

Reaching out to branding agencies is a smart move! If your names have branding potential, exploring partnerships or feedback could be valuable. Just present your ideas clearly.

They can help you refine the branding, align it with your target market, and create a solid strategy. It's not a bad approach at all, especially if you’re aiming for long-term growth. Just make sure to do your research on the agency and ensure they understand the tech/AI industry. You’re not delusional; you're being proactive!

Hi

if it was feasible, so easy, such a good idea today -
then for sure everybody and their momma would have been doing it long ago when the word "brandable" was first used to describe a domain name.

you're at the end of the line/

imo...
