domain ipod domain - .net - Brandable

Hey guys,

What do you think of my domain ipodforums.net.

"Ipod forums" was searched 952 last month. This number is only going to get higher as the new ipod is coming out and the ipod mini gets more popular.

ipod forums could only really be used for one thing, so lowers the value a bit

Gotta say I think iPod will always be "the" brand, much like my old AppleIIe or Laser or Commodore64 system. However, now when I'm looking for computers, I of course would not search for any of those terms.

iPods need to get to be a lot cheaper, or they will be beat by the NUVO's, the Dell's, the Nomads and others.

On the domain itself, start a forum... Yesterday.

If you need help getting a first forum up on there let me know, but this is the time that people would be on there talking if they're ever going to be (In the month til and month after X-Mas as kids and others are looking forward to getting them and then looking to talk about how cool they are for having them).

Now, low $xx, start up a base of maybe 150 a day and you have a completely separate game.

If I were to buy it, maybe $25 I would pay.
If you found someone really eager to buy it, maybe $45 or so.
Highly developed and well trafficed, ~$120

The .net extension takes away value from it, the .com would be worth more :/

the .net kills it a bit, but it's a nice name, and is still worth more than .coms with less specific names (at least as far as iPod communities are concerned).

Also, it may be very specific, but instead of a weakness, that could be its strength, especially as the popularity of iPod will only increase.

It's a good name as it is. Developed, however, and you increase its value far more.

it might not get that much traffic because everyone seems to like them, if you register a domain that is for a product that has lots of problems then you will get more traffic

i dont like .nets as much as .com's... i think i can speak for many...

ipodforum.net is a good domain... but not to practical IMHO

id still say to the right end buyer a good mid-high xx.xx
