Does anyone know the approximate internet statistics for the ratio of Banner Clicks : Banner Hits or at least somewhere where i could find these statistics?

I kinda need these so i can find out if sites in my genre are breaking even and how many uniques a day i should be aiming to break even and to make profit..

I'd also appreciate it if anyone could let me know how much google pay per click on their banners before i register with them.

Extreme is inaccurate and slow, check this out!

Hey checkout MVTracker.com (http://www.mvtracker.com)

100% free and offers far more features and is Real-Time.

believe me I used to use extreme tracking and it sucks in comparison.

I believe he isnt asking for stats for his site, but more stats to show how many people actually CLICK banners.

Usually it runs around .01 - 4% views. It all depends on the audience, the banner itself, type of banner, placement, etc.

Usually flashing banners are annoying to users, but that doesn't mean animated ones aren't good. Animated ones I believe tend to be the best. Simple ones that get to the point without having to be too tacky.

Also, size matters. People tend to click the bigger banners. You are trying to get the ads to be viewed by the audience. Which do you think theyd be more likely to see: 88x31 or a 120x600?!

Banner placement is also key. If you put a banner in between a bunch of other banners, it's going to get lost in the crowd. Place banners near content, or at the top of the page. Place them where people frequently have to visit (like login pages, etc).

All these opinions are just that. Opinions. But they are ones that have worked for me in the past.
