Hi people.
just after a little feedback on the latest version of my website ( www.inspiracode.com or www.inspiracode.co.uk ), thats currently still under pretty rapid construction.
This is currently the 3rd build and is totally different from previous ones after the last lot of feedback i got (that site is now down so cant compare it im afraid!)
anyway would love to know your thoughts on the overall look and feel to the website, especially with regards to some of the big green buttons, the scrolling amount on some resolutions, and the order form we made.
Please dont be too picky about spelling and text content as this is still to be reworked.

Please note that some pages are still not available on the drop down menu.

First off hi

Your company website looks professional at this moment. I like the overall philosophy of this website, however I have a few notes about it :red:

In the page top, it appears to be "much" white space between header and content.

The flash at bottom, is very professional.. but I don't see a reason why it is placed in the very bottom?

Also a slight rollover color on sub menus (not main buttons) would be great..some slight color, IMO.

That's about it.. but it is still a professional design, great job!

The looks really good. I like the overall design. I also think that there is too much white space at the top right. Also the blue rounded corners in the top left and right don't match the colour of the rest of the blue. There is a distinct colour change, which is not what I believe you were going for.

I'm not sure I like the big green buttons. It's a good idea, but I think it could have been better. The ring on the button looks poorly done.

I really like the building image at the bottom of the page. Well done!! :kickass:

er yeh ive kinda just kiled our server with a slight asp error! ill post when ive sorted it! sorry!!

Thanks for the comments keep them coming.... but it seems every1 is only impressed by a highly compressed piece of flash that took about an hour to do!? :hehe:
any other thougts on the site, like the portfolio pages, order form (wip) and services page?
and coz u all like the flash on the homepage there is another piece of cheesy flash on our business card service page (altho not as gud).
The corner pieces were intentially coloured slightly off, and were meant to be almost seperate hence the semi transparent squared off lines running through them, altho i may change them to the same colour now.

In response to load times i think its our server at the moment. it seems to be struggling alot and some asp errors arent helping.
the largest page in code is about 50k, the images add about another 20k and the flash aint that large so yes our page aint the smallest in the world....but theres a lot of stuff on it and 3 minutes is just stupid! 3.5k a sec for a modem means u shud of got the page fully loaded in under 25seconds at most.

I like it. Looks clean, easy to navigate, easy on the eyes. I also like the flash animation at the bottom.

hi.
im fully aware that it doesnt fit on 800x600. The simple fact is not that many people use this res any more - i dont care what surveys and webpage capturing stats say! the only people that use that type of res are businesses who cant afford to update their systems/mointors, or people that are stuck in 1995 and dont use their pc ne more,and tbh i cant be arsed creating even more limited designs, and more scrolling text becoz of this select few.
With the massive rise in lcd sales min res will soon be 1024x768 (already has highest use stats ne way) which our site fits perfectly within, but its still designed to view optimally in 1280x1024....fingers crossed 17inch lcd sales carry on rising through the roof with this native res!!
As for the Doctype.....well....erm.....yes! good question!!! we never looked into this b4 but after reading up think you have a valid point. a Doctype strict will be put in as soon as content is finished to iron out any display bugs. thanks

It's got a nice design and good colors, vut something makes me not love it. Something to do with the way it's design, but it's defantly a good site IMO! :tu:

I really like the site on the whole. I am not sure about the flash on the compliment service page though, could use a little work!!

Also when i run it in Netscape version3 it doesnt display correctly. Apart from that :bingo:
