Info domains are abused

lol,
Anyone notice some places block info domains?

I just noticed myspace blocks info. It converts the .info to ".."
so yoursite will like

http://www.yousites..
Breaks all your links, I guess starting a Myspace resource site with a info domain won't be a good choice! lmao :yell:

And MSN messenger blocks them too, so trying to chat to your buddy to show him your new mfa site will be a real pain! :notme:

Works for me

unfortunately, .infos have been abused by people for a while now for spamming, viruses, etc because of their cheap fresh reg prices. :td:

Info domains are badly abused, spammed phpbb boards and guest books ... when buying any dropped info domain first google 'whatever.info' (with extension) just to make sure that domain wasnt used for spamming otherwise bots will be visiting your parked pages from those spammed links and you will be thinking 'cool, high traffic domain '

we can only hope this trend will change soon, personally i am starting to like .info domains due it is cheap and helps me build my network faster.

yep, like 90% of info sites I see are some kind of mfa site.
Find them in the serps all the time. Visit the page and it has some machine garble text and some ads thrown all over it :td:

and you can almost certain if you see a info domain advertising in adwords it is going to be a arbitrage site.

I think they bump the price up for info's to tide back this abuse.

one of my blogging services has been pounded by the .info's and by a pretty sneaky spammer but not that sneaky

Sometimes web directories don't accept .info sites too. In someways its better they increased price.
