Increase in Traffic

I just checked on one of my Domains parked over at 1Plus, and noticed a big jump in traffic over what it usually gets. It will usually manage to get a couple uniques a day, though some days none. But today I see over 50 uniques so far today, from the same IP address range. I did a whois on some of the IP's and they all point to Inktomi Corporation. Anybody heard of these guys? It appears that Inktomi Corporation was bought out by Yahoo some time ago. Just wondering why all of a sudden the increased traffic (not that I'm complaining, just wish I could get a few clicks out of it).

Inktomi Corporation made a search engine which used to provide Yahoo search results until Yahoo acquired them :D

They also made Traffic server, a web cache software.

well most likely the search bots found a link to your site on some other website, indexed your site and you might be getting traffic from searches people are doing...

Well, something's strange here (maybe), I'm now up to 101 uniques just for today. This Domain has never got that. I'm also getting uniques from the same IP address range on 2 or 3 of my other Domains that I have at 1PLus, mind you not nearly as many as the domain in question. I know it might not sound like a lot of hits to some of you, but when I pulled up that screen at 1Plus, I nearly fell off my chair. Going to check my Adsense account now. Just seems strange to go from 0 to 60 in a day (if you get my drift).
