IE Only

Hello - I am currently working on a new site design for the Nerd Herd Network of blogs. It is located at nhdesigntest.blogspot.com , and it is working alright apart from one thing. In the top section, which is a table, the height of the table is being extended more than it should be because the line spacing in most of the text is far too much than it should be. In Internet Explorer (ugh) it looks fine, but in any other browser it appears wrong. The table should be 200px high, and no higher. How can I control the line spacing? I have tried the CSS attribute, and this works to a point; but it makes the text too crushed up in IE. Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks.

IE is incorrect, not the other browsers.
