ICQ, revived

Haven't used ICQ since 1997. And decided to get it fired back up.. and pretty much 10years later I find my icq acc still active, all I had to do was retrive the pw... just found this pretty amazing. It is XXXXXX compared now to the what 12 digit ones ..

anyways had to share.. :D too bad I couldn't retrieve some long lost domains that easily :td:

I used to be a big ICQ user too in the late 90's. It's almost become a non player in the IM market is seems now. Last time I used it (years ago) all I would get was IM spam messages.

Btw, does it still use the "uh oh!" sound every time you get a message? Hehe

Yeah it does ... I think that was one of the main reasons for making the switch over to msn/yahoo... have my sound hooked up through my surround sound and I could here the "uh oh" on my dock.. neighbors are gonna start thinking funny things.

I used it for a little while but not many others did so I got away from it. I know my account still exits, but I can't remember my number and I am sure the email I would have used for it is long gone.

lol that's a program ive not heard or used for a long time I think the last time I used it was about 5 years ago first started using it maybe 1999.

Doubt I would be able to resurrect my account even if I wanted too as I no longer use the email address I registered with and I have no idea what my icq number was.

Yeah -- it's pretty cool, since you can set your display name on ICQ to be "God" or whatever you'd like, and that's how it displays on AIM.

I still have my ICQ number; in fact, I tried to log in today, but my password is long-gone.

I think ICQ is one of the most popular and being used widely.
Also, it's good that AIM can be used thru ICQ as well
