Gurrrr

Everytime I click on a link to open a new window
the new window just sits there and never fully opens

It does this in both IE and Juno

I am running Windows 98SE

Anyone have any ideas what this might be?

I am going to Nuke my hard drive and start over
if I cannot find a fix for this

This makes surfing and working tough

Thanks John :bah:

Hmmm What exactly do you mean?

Do you mean the same thing as my attachment, where a Restored window opens, or is the web page in the window not actually loading for you?

If it's the restored window, then it's nothing to do with Windows 98, and it does not require you to format your computer!

What do you mean by "it just sits there"? Is any part of the new window visable or is it only in your task bar?

If the window is somehow set off your visable screen somewhere, you can try this tip

http://www.windows-help.net/windows98/ie50-16.shtml

Also I recommend giving Smart Explorer a try. It's a program that manages Windows in Internet Explorer http://www.smarteque.com/

Why not just restart your computer? Does this happen all the time?

I have IE 6.0
This is the same for Juno
Windows updates and Norton AntiV too :?

I did that and it does happen all the time
I even reinstalled IE
I don't think it is an IE problem D-:

If I click on your attachment the second window will pull up
but nothing inside the window will fill in

I can see the first page through the second page
and the hourglass thing keeps running

Thanks John :o

Upgrade to windows XP :D Seriously, I love it. Well worth the price for getting rid of the 98 problems

Good luck solving it though

I think XP might be a little much for this
Old Packard Bell

Will upgrade to XP Pro when I build new systems ;)

I did go into REGEDIT

It said my IE 6.0 is an old version
and IE 4.0 is the current

Time to Nuke the computer 8-X

You might see a big mushroom cloud over Wisconsin :hehe:
