Some friends asked me "how to sell domains in China", Maybe there are some methods:
1. Find Chinese broker
2. Making Chinese friends and join their group
3. Start a domain shop in China's domain maket

For the third choice, though it's a little trouble if you are not Chinese but it is not an impossible thing. Let's take ename.cn for example.

Making Chinese Friends:
1. An ename verified account(need email,China's mobile,China's bank card,China's ID-card)--your friend can arrange a brand-new account for you.
2. You can manage your account totally.

Selling domains
Here is policies for domains from other registar
1. need email verified or cname verified
2. $8 deposited per domain when listed as Auction/Buy It Now/Easy Auction/Special Auction, release deposit when list end. no deposit needed when listed as Make Offer.
3. when order placed, need to transfer domain into ename to complete the deal. Not support authcode. Seller pay transfer fees. For Buy-It-Now order,You can get money instantly after domain transfer successfuly and you click seller-confirm button . For any type of Auction's order, winner has 12 days to confirm the payment.
4 fees. Auction 4%/Buy It Now4%/Easy Auction 7%/Special Auction 7%/Make Offer 4%
5 godaddy or enom domains are not allowed
6 please note that:choosing non-withdrawal money when selling your domains, then turn to your friends or somebody has good trade reviews, exchange non-withdrawal money into paypal $$$. You can also exchange paypal $$$ into ename money too.

Eventually, prices across markets will smooth out, as all arbitrage opportunities are being exploited until they are gone.

Thanks qujumi

ename.com is not showing an option to translate and 22.cn has some overlapping text after translation.

Is it possible for us to sell on those sites and push the domain to the buyer at our current registrars?
How much commission would we have to pay?

Yes, you can sell your domains on ename or 22.cn, even if your domain is on other registrars. But, if there is some buyers that decide to buy your domain, then you have to transfer the domain to ename or 22.cn.

The current commission on ename.com is 2% of the domain price. The commission on 22.cn is 1% of the domain price.

2% is not enough(non-withdrawal money only which need exchange RMB into $dollars), ename money is only RMB, need consider exchange fees and currency.

Only Make Offer option available for other registar's domains at ename, allowed push to same other registar

Thanks for info.

I heard some people say it takes weeks or months to transfer to those registrars from the U.S. and that the time delay gives the Chinese purchaser the advantage of cancelling the transaction if the domain drops in value during that time, while still giving the purchaser the ability to accept the transaction if the domain goes up in value during that time period. That would seem like a very unfair position for the seller in the U.S. Is that accurate?

it depends on registars. for some registar, it costs half an hour, and some cost usually 5-7 work days. some cost more than 15 days if there is an issue on stolen domains.

ename allows 12 days for buyer to confirm the deal which means buyer can cancel the deal during this period. only for another registar's domains.

Oh, so it should not take any extra time than normal. Great.

So they have an escrow service which would guarantee we get paid quickly after transfer is completed to the registrar?

Does the seller also have the option to cancel during those same 12 days?

you can get money instantly when domain transferred in and you confirm this deal, if you published domains as any kinds of auctions or fix price.

but no such service when you published domains as make offer.
