How to get more projects?

I seem to lost projects from bidders bidding lower than me with thousands of 10/10 ratings at Scriptlance and GFA. Most of the times, these are bidders bidding a ridiculous amount for any projects. I've seen projects like website layout design and webmaster put a maximum bid of $15 and yet there's people bidding for that. I did place my own bid once for a small amount of $80.00 and the webmaster reply a "Please bid according to budget. Thank you".

What is happening to the design world? ANy ways freelance designers can earn a decent pay per month? Where else can freelance designers get their projects with reasonable payment?

I suggest you talk to the person wanting design, and say "well I'd really love to design for you, I love designing, as I said, I'd love to, it's an obsession, not a job. But I just cant do it for (price here). I don't have that much time on my hands, it'd be a waste.." Use words to make them want to pay extra.

I'd got a recent project, it would take atleast 5 hours to do, he was going to pay 50 USD. I'd said, well, I can do it, but not for that price, it's just not enough. I suggest (so and so). I'd contacted him 10 minutes later, he'd had no luck, so I said, OK, I'll need full details, and eventually got him into paying a more fair price - $100.00

If no luck, search for people willing to pay a more normal price..

Freelancer in some part of world can do the project for even small amount of money coz in the place where i live $15 can be a big amount of money but so is not in western countries. that is why the prices of projets have gone down and most ppl from USA and UK have started to out source there projects to india and other eastern countries coz here they can get good quality at low price.

The luck or unluck of outsourcing shows teeth ?

Eastern Europe or India or others. Would design you for 15.

And since it's a market, the prices go up or down according to the demand and the offer (Economics )
