domain How much can I aks for ?

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, as well as to that whole domain-selling-business.
Maybe you can help me...

I own a .de domain - nothing special actually, but an international company, which offers an online service for sports betting, gaming etc. has got the same name with a .com TLD. They now asked if I would sell the .de because they want to increase their market share in the german speaking countries.

Seems to be a very young company and much smaller than it's competitors like
bwin.com or 888.com - but it's a huge market and German is the most spoken language in Europe (more than 95 million people)

So, what do you guys think can I ask for it ?

Who offer buying your .de domain ? the same company with .com ?

Yes, the same company who owns the .com

I don't think that there will be a trademark problem.
It's not a registered brand overhere in Germany...just checked it.

I would let them know you had intended to develop it, but may be inclined to sell if the offer is right. But tread carefully, depending on the name, they do have the option to dispute your ownership....

However, assuming thats not the case, try to get them to make an offer. When you set the price, you may set it under what their willing to pay.

so be reasonable $1000 - $2500 sounds good.. or try to hear their offer first , sometimes buyer's offer come above your asking price..
