How much are typos really worth? For example Tuttor.com which is a typo of Tutor.com.

Typo domains are only worth something if they make revenue and get traffic.

Typos of domains associated with a trademark or service mark can have negative value. The costs of litigation are high. The courts have repeatedly ruled against typos of marks.

Other typos of generic terms can be extremely valuable. It all depends on the typo. When I find something valuable I try to grab the obvious typos as protection.

The only typos with true value are those that people unintentionally spell wrong because that's the way they think its spelled or their brain plays tricks. Example of the unintentional type would be "wierd" or "gambleing" or "calender". Examples of the brain playing tricks are: "laons" and "domians" which just seem to happen to everybody. Typos, like pressing the wrong key on the keyboard have minimal value IMO.

The one you listed is a stretch for the first category maybe...at least 16,000 people misspelled it online according to googel results.

Beat me to it. gaggleogole.com could be a typo for google.com but no one would ever type that on accident. Whereas minicip.com for miniclip.com is a fairly common mistake and my guess is it receives a fair amount of traffic. You have to find a website that gets alot of traffic, find a good typo, and see how it works out for you.

For a typo to be valuable it must pass two checks:
1. generating traffic / revenue
2. not a typo for a serious tm

Agreed, typo names only have value if it generates traffic & has revenue. If it has TM issues, it's greatly devalued as there won't be many people interested at all because of the risks
