Reason for Sale: I have held this web site for almost two years now. I was unable to continue the business about 6 months ago and decided to shut down the company. I sold all the clients. However, I have a very detailed web site left and need to fund some current projects as well as pay off some bills. When I did advertise the site, we were getting 45,000 uniques per month and over $2000 in sales per month.
Host Plane is a very premium domain name and the coded web site alone is worth over $500 with the premium logo and professional design. It also comes with customized and skinned help desk software (http://www.hostplane.com/support/index.php) and skinned billing software (http://hostplane.com/billing/step_one.php) We used a licensed version of WHMAutoPilot ($20 / month). Our forums have over 600 posts with 58 registered viewers.
Ever since we have been shut down, we still get search engine hits every month. We get about 100+ direct type in. "Direct address / Bookmarks 1249 98.1% 1250 96.4% "
So you can see the potential for the site. I would be happy with an offer around $3000, but I am just looking for offers. I am in no hurry to sell the site because I can easily develop this site back into the thriving hosting company that it once was. It has PR5 and we redirected all typins to http://hostplane.com/v2/index.php so we don't have to worry about split PR for hostplane.com and www.hostplane.com All interior pages are PR4 or greater.... With this kind of PR, you can easily sell text links to get more money.
Finally, we had at least 90% or more positive feed back. We advertised a lot throughout forums and web directories and other means of advertising to get the word out because at the time we had a low budget.
