Hi,

How much do you think this name is worth?

It has lots of possible end users, good search volume, age, the whole deal.

Thanks for your time.

Great name. Applicable condition for both Humans and their best friends....dogs. Good competition and CPC as well as high monthly search volume. $45k+ name.

HipDysplasia.com is an outstanding domain, a name that should appeal to the veterinary & medical communities alike.

Without editorializing, HD is a horrid condition that can lead to immense pain and demise for its' victim and painful & expensive decisions for the owner of such an afflicted dog.

IMO should achieve a range of $35xxx. - $50xxx. to an end-user which may come from the ranks of a private veterinary practitioner, a veterinary practitioner/ corporations ( small conglomerate-like) type firm, veterinary researchers ranging from vet schools ( less likely ) to canine health foundations of various dedicated projects. A higher selling price would not surprise.

Great name - Horrible condition.

Sorry but I think it's worth a lot less. Whilst it is a good medical term, I don't see the business case for spending that much on it. I would say $5k.

Don't accept anything less than lower middle xx,xxx from anyone trying to play down the value of this domain. Anyone trying to buy it from you for X,xxx will be trying to flip it for mid xx,xxx. That's why you have to be careful with appraisal threads here. Someone one might want you to be confused with your valuation so they can take advantage and try to by buy the domain at a price significantly lower than its intrinsic value.

This sold on NameJet early this month for under $500. While it is certainly a good name with a clear use, there are limited commercial applications. The vast majority of the results are information related more than service or product related.

I think it has a realistic chance at a $X,XXX end user sale, but above that I am not seeing.

Thanks everyone for their input.
I will now look for a broker that can help me sell this name to an enduser

I highly doubt people are doing that.
And anyway, most investors probably don't have mid 4 figures to drop on a domain like this that isn't even, in my opinion, as strong as you think.
$45k+ name.
Why do you believe it could sell for 45k+?

I don't really see enough development around this phrase to indicate someone would pay 5 figures for it.
Most of the results are .orgs and vet sites giving info.

By the way, hip-dysplasia.com is in use.

Also, the competition shown on semrush.com is only 0.07 in the US https://www.semrush.com/info/hip dysplasia

https://www.columbushipdysplasia.com/
Maybe he would pay 4 figures :P

Agree with bmugford - its more information-oriented than commercial and its a niche market. Vet rehab, vet orthopedists... I doubt PennHip or OFA, but worth a try. (Both organizations evaluate and certify hips before dogs are bred. Breeding from several gen. of good/excellents, greatly reduces odds of producing dysplastic offspring)
Good luck with it.
