Hi, KittyKarot. When purchasing a deleted or expired domain, you need to carefully evaluate it from multiple angles. First, understand the history of the domain to make sure it has not been penalized by search engines or has a bad record. Second, check the domain's traffic and ranking performance to determine whether it can bring value to your business. At the same time, check the domain's backlinks. High-quality backlinks can improve its SEO potential. In addition, it is also important to see whether the domain fits your brand or target audience, and the age of the domain may also affect its trust in search engines. Finally, don't forget to check for potential legal issues, such as trademark conflicts. Through these steps, you can more comprehensively judge the value and risks of the domain.Hi Guys
So i'm kinda new to this and to be honest I need some help understanding what kind of data and criteria are needed when deciding to buy a deleted or an expired domains.
There is at least 50 factors to consider, not limited to:
1. Extension
2. Extensions Registered
3. Keywords
4. Industry or niche
5. Search volume
6. Potential end users
7. Cost per click
8. Trademarks (reason to avoid)
9. Existing websites
10. Existing traffic
11. Past sales
12. Current trends
13. Domain Length
14. Advertisers
etc...
There is no magic formula, it takes many many hours/years of research and market knowledge.
I would suggest following recent sales through Namebio.com and DNJournal.com, watching domain investor interviews on Domain Sherpa (YouTube), and watching auctions to see what domains sell for.
The DN academy course is a great starter for beginners to learn the basics of Domain Appraisals.
