Greetings, namepros. My name is Maxwell Arnold, known simply as "Maxwell" at the "other" forum.
I know there's a bit of tension between the two forums, so I'll keep anything I say here strictly pertinent to Namepros
A brief introduction of myself would be as follows...
- I'm a 19 year old male, residing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- I got into domaining when I was 16, as a result of a quick flip of a .com I bought on eBay for $4.50 and sold for $350
- It's been a hobby for me ever since (and a rather addictive one at that!)
- My interests include reading, metal music, online commerce, really bad jokes, and "old" technology. For instance, I have a thing for early 2000's blackberry phones
- What I do outside of domaining has a bit of a long story to it. I dropped out of high school when I was 16, and went on to get my real estate license. While I was studying for it (and "practicing" in real estate), I also worked a job at an outbound call center where I had done in the range of 250,000 cold calls. I'm currently working on a couple of projects with a colleague of mine (to include a domaining related product we're planning to release before the year is out), I work at a restaurant in the evenings, and am going back to college in September for fashion management
- I do not have a political opinion. Therefore, I do not vote, and do not participate in political discussions. I will willingly voice my opinion from a standpoint of logic, but it will be void of any bias which might result from a political stance.
- And, finally, I'll add that I've loved .ca's in the past, but am now further persuaded as to the value of .com's. I think that all the new TLD's serve no purpose and will do the internet nothing but harm.
Anyhow, that's me. I'm entering this community with a very open mind, glad to learn the nuances and "how things work", and will do whatever it takes to establish myself.
Those of you who were on DNCruise 2011 will probably remember me. I was the only "Maxwell" there, so it would be hard to confuse me with any other attendee.
