The true test is if you put quotes around the entire term, search for the term with no spaces, or search with extension. When I seached for "fast kb" on Google, I got 369 hits. When I searched for fastkb, I got 31 hits. When I searched for fastkb.com I got 0 hits.
You also might want to try the Overture keyword selector tool using the above combinations. I got 0 searches for March for all of the above terms. Here's the link:

If you seach for any two letter combination on Google, you are likely to get over a million hits. If you search for any common word on Google, you are likely to get over 10 million hits. If your domain had two popular keywords (such as fastjpg, fastpics or fastdsl), your name would be worth something beyond reg fee. As it stands, the acronym "KB" must have some popular meaning for your name to worth more. Here's a short list of meanings for the acronym "KB":

Kilobit (written with lowercase b; 1024 bits)
KiloByte (written with uppercase B; 1024 bytes)
Knowledge Base
Kaboom
Kick & Ban (chatroom)
