Well, seeing as no one started a thread just simply saying "Happy New Year"

I wish to wish you all a Happy New Year

As for myself, I just got home from a party =)

Happy New Year from Scotland where it was a wash out.

Pouring rain and the wind was unbelievable. All the street parties were a washout.

Aberdeen - street party for 50000 cancelled
Edinburgh - street party for 150000 cancelled
Glasgow - street party for 150000 cancelled

Plus - the best was in Edinburgh - 8 tons of fireworks sitting at different locations - when they went to start setting them up they found that one ton of them had been stolen so the police cancelled the fireworks display

How on earth do you just steal 1 ton of fireworks.

Anyway, apart from that - it was a great time:lol: and was celebrated in true Scottish style - with a wee dram and a shortbread biscuit and some stovies to warm the heart.

Happy New Year, friends!! :music:
My 'Eve started out horribly with a long trip to the dentist for an emergency visit (infection), but it got better with a nice family visit, then out to dinner on the way home ... and then some late Blockbuster movies and beverages here with the Mrs. Cool when we finally got back. Long day, but real sweet ending ... and now a nice "long weekend" to boot.
