So will the Google ToolBar & being a self confessed Googleholic I even use some of the toolbar's other features - backlinks, translate and even the pop-up blocker.

Isn't it a breach of Google Toolbar policies to create (and use) such scripts? I heard that they explicitly prohibit creating automated PR checking software, or even using their own toolbar to use automated checks?

PageRank Checker

:hi: Who did you hear that Google policy from. Seems like most the non-Google sources are just educated guess work. I like the PageRank Checker script in that some people avoid downloads from the internet.

Want to try to increase your PR? - The Google Vote Exchange is looking for websites.

If you would like others to vote for your Page Rank 4 and up website(s) using the yellow voting button on the Google toolbar, go to http://www.forfreecasinos.com/site-vote.html

You're not going to get in the Google Vote Swap (GVS) if you wait - they are closing the registration doors at the 300th website joined.

It's explicitly stated in Google's TOS.

No Automated Querying

You may not send automated queries of any sort to Google's system without express permission in advance from Google. Note that "sending automated queries" includes, among other things:

* using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage "ranks" on Google for various queries;
* "meta-searching" Google; and
* performing "offline" searches on Google.

Please note that I regularly use this kind of scripts, so I'm not judging those who do so. Just want to point out that the fact that Google has not complained yet does not mean that they won't. It's also been proved that Google has a way to tell whether the checksum check needed to calculate PR is coming from the Toolbar or from any other third party script.

Hey!

I was not referring to your script while posting the comment above. I did not pretend to be critic regarding its use, but I think it's important to be aware of Google's TOS. In my opinion, if I had a commercial site whose income depended on traffic coming from Google's results, I'd stay way apart from using such scripts, since Google has the right to remove listings from their results. I think you know what I mean with that. :( The fact that, to this time they have not done it does not mean that they will not in the future.

Once more, sorry if I sounded like I was criticizing your site. I was not!

Regards
