Google debuts Friendster-clone Orkut

i have seen clones of popular web sites. their scripts are sold in many places. when is a clone not an illegal site?
what percentage of the script need to be different?
many dating, rating, classified sites have "similar" codes;

I have had Orkut for a while, and I read about it allmost the same as Friendster so its not a clone.

This kind of sites are really big here in Sweden and peaked some years ago.

The biggest is the community Lunarstorm.se that grown from nothing to maybe the best ebiz ever in a country.

I cant belive that any other community have had the same succes, allmost every kid in Sweden have and use Lunarstorm.

Targeted ads or what ? :D

I have been a member at Orkut for a while, dont think Friendster and Orkut looks too much alike.

Well if you make a script that have the same features I dont see anything wrong with that. In software it just depends how you solve it.
