There has been thousands of registrations on .si over the last weeks. We know a lot of people positioned early on .si but I'm wondering is there still gold left out there. What's the best .si you have hand regd lately. Feel free to post with price if it's for sale also. I'm seeing some stuff appearing that I can't see ever selling but beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say!

Good point. I have no overview about .ai sales in other languages than English. The tech world is ruled by English language and the wording is easier and stronger than in German. An attractive English CCVC noun would probably be translated in an 18 letter German word with hyphen. Who uses this? On the other hand, Artificial (Sorry) Intelligence is translated in Kuenstliche Intelligenz, whereas SuperIntelligence matches Superintelligenz by the letters.
I will keep this approach in my mind when looking for some new ideas. Thanks for the info and feedback

Does anybody look for strong keywords in non-English languages? There should be something to be harvested.
Being native German speaker, I still find good names in .si that were gone in .de in the 1990s. The question is if they ever will be useful but I give the answer some years to form.

You'd be better off looking for German keywords in .ki
(or not - looking at the registration price ;)

Idk, is the Super Intelligence name being adopted in Germany, or nein? If it is, then maybe there's potential.

.si is cool for Spanish keywords, but not necessarily because of trump's EO. ;)
There are some tlds that have long been popular in certain countries, for example .nu (=now) in Sweden or .as (aksjeselskap) in Norway, though .si was never very popular among Spanish speakers, perhaps because of the diacritics (sí != si), but I still think it's cool. ;)

Outside the box my ass. Everything you guys are picking up right now has approximately a 0.000000% chance of ever selling.
Hi

folks are scraping the bottom of the barrel to reg any .si domain at this point

it’s hype of the extension, rather than keyword hype
and majority of these names don’t fit the brand notion that .si is purported to be

imo…

Of all the ones you registered in 2024 did you renew them all in 2025? If not - any you are sorry you let drop?

I still have them and I repriced them in September when the buzz was starting to grow.

Indeed. But due to luck of experience it's hard for them to understand it. When every Joe Schmo screems ''.si!!!'', it's way too late to register anything. On top, this tld itself (meaning .si as ''superintelligence'') will die out faster than last year's TikTok trend.

Was just having a look and spotted BabyName and Infostack as some double barrels taken in a few extensions. Wonder if they won't be regd now that I mentioned them on this discussion 🙋‍♂️😂😂

A lot of the terms I have seen registered lately would barely even be good in .com, never mind .si or even .ai.

Many who were already in domain investment will understand the type of terms that sell in secondary extenions - short domains, single words, etc.

It seems like a lot of new people are being drawn to the field and just registering whatever.

If you really believe in the extension, it makes way more sense to buy great terms on the secondary market than register some junk, just becuase it is available.

Yes, there are some, but only if the .si domain catches on over time; you have to look at it from that perspective—I’m investing for the future and hoping it succeeds

The difference about the rise of .AI and the rise of .SI

.AI extension gained popularity as AI was exploding, so you had a ton of new AI startups coming in to buy up .AI domain names, with big startup capital.

With SI, there is no new startup wave, it's still the same AI landscape, which seems to be slowing down a bit as we go into 2027.

The main buyers of .SI are other domainers, some companies buying for brand protection and even fewer actual startups launching on .SI

No new industry has been created, just a renaming that only a handful of the big government contractor AI companies will change to in order to maintain those gov contracts.

All the AI tools and products out there people use are still going to be called AI this or AI that. And all the new AI startups in 2027 will be branded as AI, because thats what the people call it, AI
