The counter is counting views, not unique visitors.

Nice site though.

Have you thought about implementing a 'submit your funny pic' button?

I've seen this happen too often - for an accurate appraisal we need detailed stats. HOW MANY visitors, (uniques), HITS, and revenue?

Yes, but you did say that the site is "getting a lot of traffic" and point out the counter as evidence. Now I did enjoy the site and clicked on refresh countless times. So in fact you may have had only 30 other visitors such as myself, which is NOT a lot of traffic.

I just got my stats back and I'll post them here. They look dumb, but they're here.

It looks that on average (and rounding it down) that each visitor does 1 meg of bandwidth.

If you were to get 2500 uniques a day, that'd be 75 gig of bandwidth a month.

So I'm not giving you an appraisal, just some advice...

1) Make sure you optimise each and every image you have in your gallery. Squeeze every last byte out that isn't needed.

2) Don't allow hotlinking. If anyone inserts one of your images to their site and they have any decent amount of traffic you run the risk of paying for their bandwidth (if you have to pay if you go over a certain limit) or your site being shut down for the rest of the month (sad to say, but some unlimited bandwidth webhost plans are limited).
