Hi, and excuse the long absence from the forums. A long story etc.

If this is not the correct forum to ask this question please let me know. My question goes something like this:

I once helped someone upload their website with my basic knowledge of THE WS_LE ftp program. They have since updated their files and we loaded them up again on the host's server. Nothing showed up except the main header of the home page. I called the host's tech line and they are adamant that the problem is on our end. As far as we can understand it we have paid strict attention to all the HTML code. We dumped the older index.html file also, to make sure that wasn't causing the problem What could we be doing wrong? Anybody have any ideas?

Thank you for any helpful pointers. :-/

Do you see the newly uploaded files in your FTP program? If so, can you give us a link so we can see if they show up for us?

If you don't see them in your FTP program on the server side, then for some reason they probably just didn't overwrite the old ones.

You could try uploading some files that aren't overwriting any others and see if they show up, and see if you can browse to them on the web.

Thank you for the offer of viewing the link in order to sort out this problem but I'd have to okay it with my friend first. And yes, we can see all the folders and files on the server side. Everything looks to be in place. :)

Yea I would ask others to see if they see the newly uploaded files or if they still see the old ones and that will atleast narrow it down for you.

You may just need to clear your cookies.
