All I did was remove the "RewriteBase/" part from the .htaccess file and it worked like a charm for me. I'd contact the developer of the script to see what is wrong if you are still having issues getting it installed. Their contact info is:

Thanks Darren, nice to see you here, there is one thing i would like to point out.
When you enable user accounts the administrator is able to see the user's password, it will be better if you fix it with a script that sends password to user and resets+ sends to user script. Otherwise your nice script may become an identity theft machine
