www.siteburg.com give you a free PHP account with onw MySQL database, I used them for a while and found them very good. The only hting that annoyed me was that the server was quite slow in updating so, thw siteburg hosting would be no good for testing a PHP script frequently.

most free hosting companies die because they are poorly managed or their business model did not fit into the environment.

but be very weary when you see a free host providing commerical services at no cost and not even banner streaming or forced posting. Because there is nothing for it to generate returns.

My company used to provide PHP and MySQL hosting but then the amount of work generated is well off the returns level and even had a few people trying to sabotage the servers and network with their accounts by doing mail bombs and installing viruses.....

We do host sites that are already running and would like to shift, but then it must be an existing site and not a new start up or test php type. For testings its best you install PHP on your own PC and test it from there.
